![]() ![]() They fight and Shay leaps out of the windows and flees as Achilles calls for the Assassins to stop him. Shay starts talking calmly, but Achilles only sees betrayal. He sneaks into the manor takes the manuscript but Achilles catches him. I didn't like the way any of this was written.Įven after the outburst, they should have later talked about it, but Shay, still fuming, decides to take the box and the manuscript so Achilles can't destroy any other cities. Achilles completely ignored what Shay said, especially making the connection of Haiti and Lisbon, that these are not typical Precursor sites. Shay should have reported what happened in a more reasoned manner considering the time between the event and his arrival, but he's a hot-head so I guess not. They were both very stupid in this scene to set up the rest of the story. But then the idiocy continues as Achilles somehow thinks Shay did something wrong. What train of thought could have brought him to that conclusion? He puts together the earthquake in Haiti with what happened in Lisbon, but there was no way Achilles could have known, since the Assassin in Haiti didn't get out to report what actually happened. "So what's the next city you want me smite?" Accusing Achilles of knowing what would happen is completely ridiculous. He would certainly still be angry about Lisbon, but he should have had time to calm down on the voyage and think things through a bit. It would have taken a couple months at least for Shay to sail back to the colonies and reach the Homestead. I thought the escape scene was done incredibly well, simulating the destruction caused by the quake, with building shifting and falling apart, the ground splitting open. Shay runs through the crumbling city and finally reaches the ship as Libson falls apart. Shay picks it up and it disintegrates in his hands and the earth starts to shake. This Piece of Eden is one we haven't seen before, some kind of star shaped thing. Apparently no one notices him climibing the walls and jumping across the ceiling, or opening a hole in the floor, even though a Church service is going on. Good thing there is a storm this night, otherwise how would Franklin get the electricity? Anyway, it works and the box displays a map with several locations lit up, including Libson, Portugal.Īchilles and Hope have acquired a ship that Shay can use to cross the Atlantic and he arrives in Libson in November 1755. Shay follows a soldier to a warehouse and sneaks in to retrieve the lightning rods. But Shay goes to get them back while Hope helps Franklin get set up. The army confiscated Franklin's lightning rods. They sail to Sleepy Hollow, where Shay and Hope get Franklin to figure out the box. Shay kills the captain, then finds and kills Wardrop, taking the manscript. Johnson is not happy and tells a Captain to get the manuscript from Wardrop. ![]() However, Wardrop has refused to hand over the manuscript. Franklin is ready to electrify it, thinking that may activate it. Liam and Hope will make sure he doesn't escape while Shay goes after him directly.Īt the Congress, Shay overhears Templar William Johnson (from AC3) talking to Benjamin Franklin, who the Templars had study the box for a time. Wardrop is at the Congress as well and is said to have the manuscript. The Albany Congress is in session as George Washington and his troops are said to have fired on the French, which they consider an act of war. They arrive in July and Shay meets with Liam and Hope. They set sail for Albany, where Templar James Wardrop has the manuscript. ![]() Apparently he think Assassins should only kill fighters, not the masterminds behind the Templar organization. Shay still isn't happy, since Smith was no warrior. Shay takes care of it and gets the box, which apparently Smith and the top minds in Europe could not get to work. Wouldn't three Assassins be better than one? Oh well. And Liam and Chevalier apparently just stand around doing nothing. They deal with an ambush and run Smith to ground at an encampment, where Shay goes on foot. Smith's ship spots them approaching and takes off, with the Morrigan giving chase. Since Chevalier's ship is in need of repair, he joins Shay and Liam on the Morrigan. Le Chasseur has information on the location of Samuel Smith and gives the Morrigan the puckle gun. Shay and Liam meet with Le Chasseur and Chevalier. Achilles family has died and Shay is getting tired of searching for the manuscript and precursor box. The next memory starts in May 1754 as we hear Berg and Violet talking about the memories being fragmented. ![]()
